We were in Shenzhen on Monday, having crossed back over the border from Hong Kong into China. My contact at the printers, King Wang, arranged for us to go to the factory where the books will be made in a couple of weeks time. It was amazing to see!
It was chaos in a classic China style, but very organised chaos with so many simple but incredibly effective machines to create each part of the book.
The pages will be printed elsewhere so that the colour and quality can be checked and then transported here to be cut and assembled.
And sewn together.
Before adding the hard-back cover, and packing them up to send back to the UK.
It was a pretty exciting morning!
